Iran’s former foreign minister has called on the United States to respect the Iranian nation’s demands, which he has described as “just and reasonable.”
Javad Zarif, who is the CEO and founder of the Paiab Institute in Tehran, said in a post on his X account that:
Threats, war crimes, profanity and vile insults = sheer desperation.
For millennia, Iranians have stood united against arrogant aggressors – even with personal itself.
Iran’s demands are just and reasonable. Respect them.

Zarif has reacted to the war in Iran on his X account several times, condemning the attacks while praising Iranians’ steadfastness and resilience.
He has published an article in Foreign Affairs in which he proposed a deal that included the United States recognizing Iran’s right to enrich uranium to about 3 percent, paying compensation for the war, and recognizing Iran’s rights regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
